A framework that

equips you to identify

the issues impacting

a child’s health

and well-being

HEARTS – an Introduction to Practice eLearning course

HEARTS is a framework that strengthens skills in identifying issues that may have an impact on a child’s health and well-being.

Learn to:

  • Identify issues impacting a child’s health and well-being.
  • Identify strengths and areas for further support for the child and their family.
  • Know where and how to use the HEARTS framework in everyday practice.

HEARTS approach:

This structured approach helps identify the key issues impacting a child and family health and well-being. It takes a strengths-based approach, and progresses from routine questions to more probing ones, giving the interviewer a chance to establish an early rapport.

The course is designed for all people who connect and work with children.

Our eLearning course is accredited by Pharmaceutical Society NZ and endorsed by College of Nursing. Accreditation is also being sought by College of GPs and College of Midwives.
